Like to work for a key player in social research and analysis with a professional culture? Providing in-depth quantitative and qualitative research to its client base -- which mostly includes federal and state departments involved in crime and justice issues -- our client now has an opportunity to for a suitably qualified professional researcher with a background in psychology, statistics or crime and justice.

The key responsibilities of the position will include:

Acting as principal researcher for the project including designing and conducting all research activities within budgets and time frames.
Liaising directly with key players in the field to verify and correlate their data and with outsourced consultants who act as statistical suppliers
Representing our client at key media events, seminars and conferences.

To be successful you should have a degree in psychology / forensic psychology or a background in statistics and at least eight years of relevant experience with, preferably, a published research track record. You may also have a background in law provided you have strong statistical skills. A PhD or Masters Degree in one of these areas would be highly advantageous.

Additionally you will need: broad experience with SAS and preferably SPSS as well as Excel and a broad experience of sampling theory as well as of modeling and be able to practically apply algorithms to weigh and aggregate data.
