Statistical Analyst

Statistical Analyst, NSW Central Cancer Registry (temporary)
The Statistical Analyst will undertake data extraction, manipulation and interpretation relating to the NSW Central Cancer Registry and other cancer related data. The successful candidate will produce statistical reports and respond to ad hoc requests. For success in this role candidates must be able to demonstrate they meet the selection criteria and have skills and experience in the following areas:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in statistics, biostatistics, public health or in a related discipline, or demonstrated relevant equivalent industry experience and training.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAS, or similar programming.
- Experience in the scoping and analysing data requests, and in the analysis of descriptive epidemiological data.
- Knowledge of medical terminologies including cancer epidemiology and an understanding of International Disease Classification Systems would be an advantage
- An understanding of and commitment to the principles of EEO, OH&S, cultural diversity and ethical practice.
