Finity Consulting is an independently owned firm of actuaries and insurance consultants. Our consultants have worked together for a long time and have longstanding relationships with many of our clients. There are currently around 65 of us, in Sydney and Melbourne.

Finity's Advanced Quantitative Services (AQS) team works alongside our actuarial consultants to deliver customer analytics support to our predominantly general insurer client base.

We are currently seeking a Statistician to join our AQS team where you would be responsible for:

developing cost models using statistical and data mining techniques
building decision support tools to enable clients to convert cost models into optimal strategies
communicating results internally and to clients
working with small teams on client projects
researching new modelling tools and techniques.

You will have a relevant undergraduate degree and probably be undertaking or looking to undertake further studies in Statistics. You will have extensive experience in running GLMs, and be familiar with SAS. Experience in S or R is an advantage.
