We are seeking to fill 2-3 posts for biostatisticians. A range of roles is required, including core research support activities, such as teaching of short courses, provision of research design advice and conducting data analysis, within the Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit, and a more focused position providing direct support to ongoing large epidemiological studies within the Centre for Adolescent Health. The positions are framed for up to three appointees, comprising 1.5 experienced biostatisticians, and 0.5 of a junior position, but the precise mix of appointments will depend on the applications received. At the more senior level, you will be responsible for expert biostatistical advice and analysis, teaching of basic statistical methods and contributing independently to the conduct of high-quality research. At the more junior level you will provide support in data processing, statistical analysis, database management, and related report writing and communication for a range of research projects. You will need to be able to demonstrate appropriate training and technical skills in statistics, strong motivation for working in health research, and excellent communication skills.

The Institute is affiliated with the University of Melbourne, and is based at the Royal Children's Hospital in Parkville, Melbourne.
