Biostatistician
Western Australian Institute for Medical Research
Salary up to $80,000 plus generous salary packaging
The Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, one of Australia's premier medical research institutes, as an opportunity for an enthusiastic, energetic & experienced individual to fill the role of Biostatistician.
Working closely with the new Clinical Trials Business Unit at Royal Perth Hospital, the Biostatistician will provide statistical advice and services to researchers including hospital research staff, members of the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, The University of Western Australia, and others. In supporting these researchers you will provide expert interpretation and dissemination of data to support various medical research activities and support the production of relevant scientific papers, reports and presentations.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in providing biostatistics services in a medical research environment.
- Substantial experience with one of more statistical software packages
- High level of theoretical and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with non-statisticians.
- Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail.
Salary: $65,544 to $80,327 depending on experience, plus generous salary packaging
