BRS seeks an experienced statistician to provide high level specialist expertise in statistics, statistical analysis and risk assessment to support policy development by the Ministers for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and Departmental policy makers.
The successful applicant will be required to develop and manage client relationships, business opportunities, and build partnerships with other research providers. They will also be expected, as a senior member of the Programme team, to contribute to the development of the strategic direction, governance and business outcomes of the Programme and BRS.
The position will suit an individual with a gift for statistics and statistical analysis who wishes to make an impact in a broad range of Australian agricultural, food, fisheries and forestry industries.
There is only one position which will be filled at either the DAFF Band 3 (Science) Work Level 6 or the DAFF Band 3 (Science) Work Level 5 classification, depending on the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience. It is recommended that applicants apply for each position to be considered at both classifications.

Conditions: Employees of the Department should possess Australian Citizenship. The Department's Collective Agreement covers conditions of service. The successful applicant must hold or be prepared to undergo a security assessment to the level of Protected.
