Biostatistician

National Stroke Research Institute

We are seeking a biostatistician to set up a Biostatistics Division within the National Stroke Research Institute (NSRI) Melbourne Australia. The NSRI is an Institute of the Florey Neuroscience Institutes, the latter of which has a staff membership of over 500 members and is affiliated with the University of Melbourne, La Trobe University and Austin Health. It is one of the largest Research Institutes in Australia.

The applicant will be expected to take on a leadership role and develop his/her own research program and build a top quality statistics division within the NSRI over a number of years. The applicant will also be expected to provide biostatistics support in a collaborative way with the seven divisions of the NSRI, consisting of Basic Sciences, Clinical trials, Imaging, Public Health, Epidemiology, Neurorehabilitation and Recovery, and Ultrasound.

The level of remuneration will be in accordance to qualifications and will be equivalent to the University of Melbourne Academic scales.
