Working in collaboration with a team, this position undertakes statistical analysis for descriptive epidemiological reports, research projects and evaluation of programs and campaigns. The position will also be expected to undertake more complex analysis for specific projects, and provide expert statistical epidemiological advice to staff across the Institute, external researchers and other key stakeholders regarding data from the Institutes registries and databases.

The successful candidate must have an appropriate tertiary qualification in statistics, biostatistics, public health or in a related discipline. Experience with analysis of descriptive epidemiological data and reports and scoping of data requests with the provision of statistical advice. Demonstrated proficiency in SAS programming or equivalent is essential.
