    Total remuneration package valued up to $96,295 per annum (Salary: $79,188 pa - $87,263 pa) includes employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

    Job Description:
    To undertake statistical research, analysis and data modelling in regards to the development of departmental statistics for planning, policy development and peformance reporting purposes.

    Selection Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualifications in statistics research or other relevant discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • High-level statistical analysis, research skills and experience on large data sets.
  • Experience in using SPSS and/or other tools to support advanced statistical analysis.
  • Sound conceptual, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proven project management skills with experience in managing information and statistical projects within tight time frames and multiple priorities.
  • High level written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise documentation, ministerial correspondence and reports, and good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Common Selection Criteria: Demonstrated capacity to implement Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Ethical Practice, Ethnic Affairs Priorities Statement (EAPS) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS).

    Job Notes: This is a temporary full-time position up to 30 June 2008 in terms of Section 27 or 86 of the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002.
