My client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Manager/Senior Analyst to join their growing Analytics team. You will assist the Head of Analytics and Financial Reporting with management of debt portfolios in Australia and New Zealand by utilising market leading analytical capabilities to drive strategic business objectives and create competitive advantage.

Joining a Trans Tasman team of analytics professionals you will be responsible for undertaking strategic projects related to customer segmentation, risk based debt pricing and building credit and profitability scoring models to increase the efficiency of business processes and decisions.

Interacting with internal customers across the business you will work to develop and maintain a robust portfolio monitoring and reporting system which will assist with the identification of emerging portfolio trends and business opportunities.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Tertiary qualifications in statistics, mathematics or a related quantitative discipline (postgraduate qualifications preferred)

Significant Risk Management or Analytical Marketing experience within the Financial Services Industry

Advanced statistical analysis skills, including SAS, Access and Excel are essential

Experience in building credit/profitability scoring models

Experience in data extraction techniques and tools (including advanced SQL skills)

Knowledge of Neural Networks, Decision Tree Algorithms, Analysis of Survival data and Debt Pricing models would be well regarded

Effective communications and business engagement skills

Strong project management skills - ability to work on multiple tasks/completing priorities

Team leadership experience in a technical role
