Reporting to the Senior Biostatistician, Monitoring Evaluation and Research Unit, you will be required to undertake expert analysis, interpretation and dissemination of data from survey datasets and other Cancer Institute NSW databases, to support programs, research activities and reporting obligations specific to the Prevention division. You will also be required to develop and prepare statistical and epidemiological reports independently and collaboratively with other Institute staff for scientific publication or presentation.
Candidates must posses demonstrated knowledge and experience of statistical techniques pertaining to analysis of survey data and a solid understanding of the principles and practice of campaign evaluation, advertising, marketing and media. Candidates must also have high level proficiency in SAS or similar programming and appropriate tertiary qualifications in statistics, biostatistics, market research, health information, epidemiology, public health or a related discipline. Sound oral and written communication skills are also a requirement of this position.
