Research Fellow in Electricity Forecasting
Monash University
This is a new position in the Business and Economic Forecasting Unit of the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Clayton Campus.
The Business and Economic Forecasting Unit is part of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University, and undertakes research and consulting in forecasting. It includes ten academic staff and 15 PhD students, and is one of the leading forecasting research groups in the world.
This position is in the area of electricity forecasting. The successful applicant will work on the development of new forecasting methodology for electricity load and demand, energy volume, and related quantities. The emphasis will be on developing whole distribution forecasts, with particular attention on forecasting upper percentiles. The appointee will collaborate with other researchers within Monash University, VENCorp and ESIPC.

Salary range: $65,843 - $78,189 pa Level B plus superannuation
