Biostatistician

Datapharm Australia, the most experienced Australian Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) established in 1987, is in high demand to provide clinical research services for local and international trials. We are a family friendly company located in Drummoyne, NSW and currently have an opportunity for a motivated and flexible Statistician to join our team. Our statisticians provide study design, statistical analysis and reports for many clinical studies each year.

As one of our statisticians you will be involved in the following tasks:
  • Performing statistical analysis of clinical trial data using SAS and other programs
  • Assisting with study design including sample size calculations and statistical sections for clinical protocols
  • Writing statistical analysis plans (SAPs)
  • Preparing randomisation schedules
  • Programming statistical report tables and graphs in SAS in a format to include in the final study report
  • Writing the statistical sections of the full study report
  • Providing clients with statistical advice
  • Providing occasional support in SAS programming of data listings and plausibility checks

    Essential Requirements:
  • A degree in statistics preferably at Masters Level or higher,
  • A high level of experience in SAS programming
  • Particular experience in biostatistics
  • Excellent oral communication skills and confidence in statistical knowledge to interface effectively with clients
  • Confidence and excellence in report writing

    Desirable Attributes:
  • Stats Society accreditation
  • A passion for scientific research, with some exposure to medical and clinical research
  • An eye for detail and accuracy
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to be a flexible part of a busy interactive and interdependent team
  • Good time management and organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in clinical data management
  • Confidence in other analysis software tools and other databases

    Salary & Hours:
    Will be negotiated according to experience and qualifications
