Quantium is a fast growing consultancy specialising in two main areas: marketing analytics and general insurance. We have offices in Sydney, Brisbane and London, servicing blue chip clients across Australia and in Europe.

We apply sophisticated statistical modelling and strategic thinking to marketing-related problems for leading brands in industries such as telecommunications, retail, media, banking and broader financial services. We help clients in areas including media effectiveness modelling, price optimisation, propensity modelling and customer value management.

Within the insurance industry, we are a recognised market leader in pricing and capital modelling. Using software products developed by our partner, EMB, we help our clients in all aspects of insurance pricing and provide support in building, maintaining and utilising capital models to answer a range of strategic questions.

Because we often work in uncharted territory, the projects we undertake are characterised by a high level of innovation and a need to think laterally about our clients’ specific business challenges.

Position

We are seeking a highly capable consultant to join and help develop our Brisbane office, working across both marketing analytics and insurance. The successful applicant will have:

A quantitative background e.g. a degree in statistics or mathematics;

Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

Strong technical ability, including a proven track record in working with advanced modelling techniques;

An ability to think laterally and develop innovative solutions to a wide range of problems;

A solid grasp of the broader commercial context;

At least 3 years practical experience, preferably in general insurance, but possibly from other relevant fields.
