Quit Research and Evaluation Manager

The Cancer Council Victoria (non-government charity) is seeking to appoint a Quit Research and Evaluation Manager to join the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer (CBRC).
This is a key position in the Centre, being responsible for coordinating evaluation efforts and selected research studies to support the work of Quit Victoria. Duties include coordinating the design and implementation of evaluation studies, commissioning and supervising suppliers of data collection services, supervision of research staff, managing and monitoring evaluation budgets, and preparation of reports and manuscripts for publication. The incumbent will supervise a research officer position to service the needs of the program, as well as casual research assistants.
Quit Victoria, based at The Cancer Council Victoria, conducts public education programs and services and advises the government on policy, legislation, regulation and programs to reduce the prevalence of smoking in Victoria. Quit is a long-standing and highly successful program in the field of tobacco control.
Applicants need a Bachelors degree (Hons) in an appropriate discipline and five years experience in an evaluation or research role. The position requires excellent project and staff management skills, an ability to prioritise and schedule tasks with minimal supervision and ability and willingness to contribute to the work of the team.
This is a full-time position with Total Equivalent Package Value within the range of $64,129-$85,906 pa commensurate with qualifications and experience (includes base salary, annual leave loading, superannuation and maximum additional pre-tax benefit of salary packaging).
