Title: Portfolio Analyst - full time
Grade: I grade - Total package $64,937 (including Super)
Department: NAB Collections - Insights
Location: West Melbourne
Job Purpose: The role will support the delivery of analysis and recommendations on collections strategies and campaign initiatives. The role will deliver timely and pro-active insight into the customer base and will use this information to make recommendations on the most effective processes and strategies for targeting our customers across all portfolios and functions. This analysis will be conducted in the context of an over-riding objective to minimise delinquency and write-off.
Job holder responsibilities: Financial Performance
Comprehensive understanding of key business drivers to inform collections campaigns
Analysis of the performance of campaign initiatives across all portfolios, with a view to optimising the customer experience and collections outcomes
Identification of opportunities for pro-active management of customers through early recognition of delinquency trends
Identification and prediction of potential stress factors on the delinquency profile of collections portfolios, based on research and analysis of economic conditions, customer behaviours and financial market
Stakeholder Management
Development of quality internal and external stakeholder relationships that will foster commitment and support for customer-focused campaign initiatives
Work with appropriate business partners to develop and implement tools for customer intelligence and segmentation
Work in collaboration with Operations, Early Collections, Loss Mitigation and Asset Realisation to establish targeted collections strategies
Consultation with portfolio risk managers and product owners to share analysis outcomes and resolve portfolio performance
Customer and Community
Segmentation and profiling of collections customer base by demographic and behavioural factors to develop targeted and prioritised collections campaigns
Process, Quality & Capability Leverage
Instigation of champion challenger campaigns to ensure maximum benefits are obtained from collections strategies across each portfolio
Qualifications: Identification of opportunities to improve metrics, processes and portfolio performance on an ongoing basis
Undergraduate Qualifications in Banking and Finance, Statistics, Information Technology, Economics, Commerce, or Marketing
Job Specific Skills:
Experience in data base analytics using SAS or SQL is essential.
2-3 years analytical experience.
Experience within the financial services industry
Knowledge of customer segmentation or credit risk principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Stakeholder and relationship management capabilities
Strong time management and prioritisation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
