The Institute for Teaching and Learning is seeking an energetic and responsible person to support the management of large scale surveys involving University of Sydney undergraduates, postgraduates and graduates.

Utilising sound organisational and administrative skills, the Survey Officer will take responsibility for carrying out all administration processes as well as analysis and reporting requirements on survey data. With excellent interpersonal skills, the Officer will organise and collect the data from University personnel required for the running of University surveys using process manuals.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated ability to provide statistical reports and use of database and statistical packages, such as Access and SPSS. The key responsibilities are basic quality control and ensuring survey response targets are reached, therefore a keen eye for details and ability to meet strict deadlines will be necessary.

A tertiary degree with some knowledge of statistics is essential, however the equivalent in experience and training will be considered. An understanding of survey methodology and a familiarity with tertiary environments is desirable.

The position is full-time continuing subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.

Remuneration package: $67,089 - $72,359 p.a. (which includes a base salary Level 6 $56,691 - $61,145 p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation)
