SAS Programmer/Statistician

Company: Datapharm Australia Pty Ltd, the most experienced Australian Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) and Data Management Organisation (DMO) is celebrating 20 years of clinical research in Australia. During this time we have built up a strong statistical team, providing support to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in clinical research by setting up and monitoring clinical trials, collecting and analysing the data from these studies. A strong reputation for quality and excellence has resulted in our statistical project load growing with more global projects and additional biotechnology clients. We now seek a SAS programmer with training or experience in statistics to join and support our team. We are a family friendly company with our head office located in Drummoyne, Sydney. We have experienced statisticians and SAS programmers who will support a new member of the stats team.

Position:

The role will involve the following tasks:
  • Programming statistical report tables and graphs in SAS in a format to include in the final study report.
  • Performing and checking statistical analysis of clinical trial data using SAS and other programs
  • Programming data listings and consistency checks in SAS
  • Writing the statistical sections of the full study report.
  • Opportunity to assist with writing SAP, preparing randomisations and sample size calculations.

    Requirements:

    Essential:
  • A high level of experience in SAS programming.
  • Particular experience in biostatistics.
  • An eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Good time management and organisational skills to and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to be a flexible part of a busy interactive and interdependent team.

    Desirable:
  • A degree in statistics preferably at Masters level or higher.
  • A passion for scientific research, with some exposure to medical and clinical research.
  • Experience in clinical data management.
  • Confidence in other analysis software tools.
  • Ability to setup clinical databases

    Salary:

    Salary will be negotiated according to experience and qualifications.
