Associate Professor in Statistics, School of Mathematical Sciences

The School of Mathematical Sciences is internationally known for its research in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics and is one of eight Schools within the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences. We are responsible for teaching the degree programs Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences and the Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences and are heavily involved in the new degree program in Computational Engineering, as well as providing high quality service teaching into other degree programs offered by the University.

Position Requirements

You should have:

  • a PhD or equivalent in Statistics
  • demonstrated record of outstanding research in an area of Statistics
  • outstanding record of research achievements as evidenced by high quality publications
  • a strong ability to maintain and enhance the School’s research income
  • demonstrated ability to teach effectively at all levels, including lecturing large classes

    Salary

    (Level D) $100,348 - $110,551 per annum.

    Superannuation

    Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.

    Term of Position

    This continuing position is available from 1 July 2008.
