This role is within the Equities Research group. The group provide customised products and services for clients with more complex wealth management and financial needs. They produce a range or research for both institutional and retail clients.

The position of Quant Analyst is to provide a supporting role to Equities across the broad areas of database management and portfolio research support.

The role will require skills and the development of them in various aspects of accounting, quantitive methods, portfolio management and computer programming.

A brief outline of duties as follows:
1. To maintain and check the database for equities and add other asset classes as appropriate
2. To attend to data requests, data entry and validation
3. To liaise with equities research on models and relationship with database
4. To work on research reports as directed by the Equities Research
5. To maintain the highest standards of accuracy and integrity of the database
6. To produce various regular reports on portfolio allocations, volatility and market fundamentals.

To be successful:

1. Strong skills in accounting and quantitative methods evidenced by a very strong undergraduate degree.
2. Team-orientated with proven skill in working in a team environment
3. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal presentations.
4. Experience in computer programming particularly a high level of Excel with a desire to improve skills in VBA and SQL Server
