Our client is an independent policy institute that undertakes evidence-based investigation and engages advocacy into Australia’s social guidelines, economic sustainability and industrial or business policies, in partnership with expert scholars and industry leaders - both nationally and from abroad. They are looking for a consultant to:

Serve as project manager for the Foundation’s research projects and partnerships.

Undertake research, data collection and analysis in support of the Foundation’s research projects, proposals and publications.

Prepare reports, papers and submissions based on analysis, distillation and synthesis of research intelligence.

Liaise and manage relationships with current and prospective research partners, both in Australia and internationally.

Undertake research project launches and other initiatives to disseminate research findings for greatest impact.

Assist in communications, government and community relations campaigns.

This is an excellent opportunity for an academic to move into a more commercial environment or an experienced economist or researcher to direct their attention to issues of social significance. You will enhance your consulting skills whilst working with some of the best minds in Australia and beyond.

Competencies and Experience Required:

Applied research experience, with a sound knowledge and implementation of research, analysis and evaluation principles and techniques.

Demonstrated capacity for applied economic analysis, research and investigation, ideally including macro and/ or micro-economic skills.

Evidence of exceptional written and oral communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, including professional specialists, business executives and the general public.

A Masters or PhD in Economics or Law or a Business related discipline….commercial market research experience NOT necessary
