Associate Statistical Programmer

Due to ongoing growth we are actively seeking a competent professional to take on the role of Associate Statistical Programmer within our Biostatistics team. The core focus of this role is to provide programming support to develop and maintain programs to meet internal and external clients’ needs. In addition you will also be responsible for supporting the development of project-related solutions to a variety of statistical programming tasks. On a day to day basis you will be required to:-

  • Program, test, and document statistical programs for use in creating statistical tables, graphs and data listings using SAS software.
  • Program analysis databases (derived datasets) and transfers of data for internal and external clients using SAS software.
  • Program database quality control checks using SAS software.
  • Assist in development of programming documentation including programming plans and specifications, as appropriate.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and validating new process technologies, macros and applications.

    The ideal candidate for the Associate Statistical Programmer position will have a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or a related field, basic knowledge and some prior experience of SAS software, basic knowledge of statistics, good communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Your strengths will be your ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, your aptitude for mathematical calculations and a willingness establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
