Research Officer

The Cancer Council Victoria

The Cancer Council Victoria (an independent charity) is seeking an experienced Research Officer to work with the dedicated team in the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer.

The Research Officer will coordinate data collection field work, conduct multivariate statistical analysis, write-up findings and contribute to peer-review papers for a series of internationally significant research studies on the effects of televised anti-smoking advertising on smokers in Australia and from a range of developing countries.

We seek a qualified individual with Honours in a relevant discipline and related research experience that includes fieldwork coordination, multivariate data analysis and report writing. With the ability to undertake quantitative analysis, an appreciation of design issues in behavioural studies and an understanding of the concepts used in modern statistical software, you will possess the ability to correctly interpret research findings and communicate these to others.

This position is full-time, fixed-term (for 2 years) with Total Equivalent Package Value within range $51,188-$56,878 pa (includes base salary, annual leave loading, superannuation and maximum additional benefit of salary packaging).
