Data Manager / Data Analyst
2008 sees the launch of a landmark longitudinal study Growing up in New Zealand. This exciting and ground-breaking initiative will follow 7,600 children and their families from late pregnancy through their lives. It will aim to understand their needs, life experiences and aspirations and will provide evidence to help us make New Zealand a greater place for our children. The study will reflect the cultural diversity of New Zealand’s children and their families in the context of our evolving society, environment and identity.
Growing Up in New Zealand is a landmark project within Uniservices, Australasia’s largest commercialization research company. Owned by the University of Auckland, the company is responsible for commercializing ideas developed by the university. The environment is challenging, interesting and team focused. Reporting to the Senior Biostatistician, and in consultation with the research and project team, you will take responsible for data management, data monitoring, combining data sets, extracting and constructing data sets that address analysis requirements and study data analysis.
This is a hands-on role responsible for undertaking data work personally, as well as the coordination and management of external suppliers to deliver tasks and resources as needed. You will have proven experience in data management including experience with data types, competency in the use of statistical software, particularly SAS. Experience with longitudinal data and or large complex datasets would be an advantage.
