Provide collaborative and consultative biometric support to local research projects in this position based at Horsham (or possibly at Hamilton) in western Victoria, Australia. Projects will cover a range of areas including animal and plant production, plant health, plant genetics and genomics, soil and water, and farming systems.
A strong understanding of biometrics and its innovative application to agricultural and related science disciplines is essential. This is in addition to excellent inter-personal skills and tertiary qualifications in statistics/biometrics.
Opportunities for professional development and statistical research will arise from collaboration with agricultural and biological research scientists. The position has ongoing status.
Horsham is located in western Victoria, 301 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. Known as the ‘Capital of the Wimmera’, the township serves an important business and recreational centre for the popular Grampians and western Victoria region. Horsham is an ideal base for visiting the surrounding natural attractions, being centrally located to Mt Arapiles-Tooan State Park, Little Desert National Park, Black Ranges State Park and the Northern Grampians.
