The School of Computing and Mathematics offers undergraduate and graduate programs in mathematics, statistics & computing. In addition, the school provides a statistical consultancy service to the wider academic community through the Quantitative Consulting Unit (QCU). Academics within the School are actively involved in a variety of research programs such as nonlinear waves, differential & integral equations, gravitational waves, relativity, curvature measures in functionless models, spatial science, image processing, wireless communication, networking security, telecommunication, data mining, information technology and ethics, and educational technology. The successful applicant will be expected to teach statistics subjects to on-campus and distance education students (on and offshore) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The School is particularly seeking teaching expertise in applied statistics and a high level of experience in statistical consulting. The successful appointee will be expected to take an active role in the provision of statistical consultancy services within the Quantitative Consulting Unit (QCU).
