Position No: DOH-08-15866
Total remuneration package valued up to $74,429 per annum (Salary: $61,128 pa - $67,448 pa), includes employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Job Description:
This specialist position analyses housing data and information, prepares statistical reports based on client requests, undertakes data management tasks and assists with analysis which supports the NSW Government’s housing policies and programs.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Experience in managing and analysing large datasets with an ability to pay close attention to details.
Good knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and performance reporting.
Substantial experience in the use of statistical software packages such as SPSS or SAS, and in Excel, and experience with Visual Basic and with MapInfo.
Understanding of the NSW housing market and socio-economic issues impacting on low-income households.
Tertiary qualifications in a Social Science or relevant discipline that includes strong quantitative methods.
Good data analysis, programming, research and information management skills.
Good communication (written and oral) skills and interpersonal skills.
Good analytical and problem solving skills and a commitment to client service and with an ability to conceptualise client requirements.
