Position No: DOH-08-15853

Total remuneration package valued up to $84,855 per annum (Salary: $69,468 pa - $76,896 pa), includes employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

Job Description:
This specialist position analyses housing data and information, assists with modelling housing assistance need, and participates in research projects and information development tasks to support the NSW Government’s housing policies and programs.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
  • Experience in applying statistical analysis techniques and modelling skills using large and complex datasets to support policy/business decisions.
  • Skilled at presenting complex information in a simple and meaningful manner to non-statistical people.
  • Understanding of the NSW housing market and socio-economic issues impacting on the provision of Housing assistance.
  • Extensive experience in the use of statistical software packages such as SPSS or SAS, and in Excel, with Visual Basic.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a social science or relevant discipline that includes strong quantitative methods.
  • Excellent statistical analysis, research and information management skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills and a commitment to client service and with an ability to conceptualise client requirements.
