Overview
The Faculty of Computing, Health and Science (CHS) is a broadly based faculty that encompasses engineering, health, natural sciences, IT, psychology and social science. It provides high quality postgraduate by research courses and has a strong and expanding research programme.
The Faculty Office provides support to faculty researchers and postgraduate students, including the provision of expert advise on research issues through three Research Consultants, including the Research Advisor - Statistician.
You will provide an advisory service to higher degrees research students and research staff on statistical issues. Advice is predominantly sought in the areas of, quantitative data analysis in the science (including health sciences), psychology, engineering and IT. Advice will be provided through one-on-one meetings and workshop events organised by the consultant. You may also participate in selected research projects where their involvement will elevate the quality of research and grant application success while also providing ongoing professional development.
The position is one of a three-consultant team, which is a key part of the Faculty's strategy to continually improve research quality and build research capability. It offers a stimulating and diverse range of opportunities for someone with strong quantitative statistical skills, research background and a desire to contribute to the development of research over a diverse, growing Faculty.
Benefits & Remuneration
This ongoing, fractional time (50%) position attracts remuneration of $71,294 to $92,684 pa (50% pro-rata) including 17% University superannuation contribution, with a salary component of $60,935 to $79,217 pa (50% pro-rata).
