Role: SAS Programmer - 6 Month Contract

This is a great opportunity for an experienced SAS Programmer to join our Biostatistics Department for a period of 6 months. You will use your skills and abilities in a clinical trials environment. This position is responsible for developing study specific software and generating clinical reports by utilizing data derived from the Oracle Clinical database and the SAS programming language.
Working with state of the art technologies, superb products and a friendly team, you will enjoy the challenges of applying your programming expertise to produce data analysis and safety reports. You will also be assisting with the development of software to the highest standards for the analysis and reporting of clinical trials data.
In this role you will be required to;
Analyse file structures, develop SAS programs and identify and resolve clinical reporting issues within a clinical program.
Work closely with the Statistician in the development of standard software, program validations and documentation as well as ensuring implementation of program standards.
Work at times to challenging deadlines to support Study Management Teams planned analysis, clinical reporting and pooled safety and efficacy summaries across a clinical program.
Ensure all relevant work is performed to Roche SOPs, Policies, and Guidelines.
Liaise with data management and operations colleagues on study conduct and other data issues in order to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
If you wish to apply for this position, you would ideally have the following:
Degree in Computer Science or other Sciences and approximately 2-3 years experience in statistical programming in the pharmaceutical industry
Excellent programming skills in SAS and knowledge of the Oracle Clinical database
Excellent communication skills and knowledge of the drug development process
