CSIRO Mathematical and Information Sciences is seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable bioinformatician/statistician to advance its analysis of molecular data. We require a person to work in our Adelaide laboratory on statistical design and analysis for the discovery of biomarkers for disease. The successful candidate will be part of the CSIRO Preventative Health National Research Flagship's activities in novel diagnostics.

You will work at the interface of molecular biology and the information sciences to increase insights obtainable from high-throughput measurement platforms from medical research. This will involve close collaboration with biological scientists working on early diagnostics for colorectal cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

This position is for a team player, an innovative thinker and an excellent communicator, and is an exciting opportunity to work closely with leading researchers within a multidisciplinary team consisting of skills in statistics, molecular biology, bioinformatics and clinical diagnostics.
