Total remuneration package valued up to $97,172 including salary ($80,608-$88,058).

Job Description
The purpose of the position is to prepare the Bureau’s regular statistical reports, to work with the Senior Project Officer (Information) to provide an information service on crime and criminal justice issues to government agencies, non-government organisations, the media and the general public, and to analyse and interpret crime and criminal justice data and prepare reports on crime and criminal justice issues.

Selection Criteria:

Tertiary qualifications in behavioural sciences or statistics, with an honours degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification;

Experience in the use of statistical software, such as SAS or SPSS;

Experience analysing and interpreting statistical data;

Capacity to exercise superior judgement when providing advice and information on crime and criminal justice issues;

Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in the handling of data and the preparation of reports;

Ability to interpret and explain statistical data to a non-numerate audience;

High-level oral and written communication and liaison skills.
