Senior Research Fellow (Data Analysis)

Cancer Council Victoria is seeking a dynamic and experienced researcher to join its Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer (CBRC). CBRC aims to provide a first class behavioural science research program to advance cancer prevention, detection and rehabilitation in Victoria.
The Senior Research Fellow (Data Analysis) will play a pivotal role in designing analytic strategies and conducting complex statistical analysis of population survey data and data from intervention studies in the areas of tobacco control, skin cancer prevention, cancer patient support and more. They will provide a focus for statistical analysis, advising other CBRC researchers and serving as a formal team member on collaborative research studies.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a degree with honors in an appropriate discipline, with at least five years post-qualification experience in a research role providing data analysis support. Outstanding knowledge of statistical methods and analyses and interpretation of research data, teamed with appreciation of research design issues in behavioural studies and the ability to develop or contribute to the development of research projects and protocols will be a requirement of this role.
This position has some scope for the incumbent to ultimately develop and lead their own selected behavioural research projects in the field of cancer control.
This is a full-time fixed-term position for 5 years with a Total Equivalent Package Value within range: $80,000-$100,000 pa (which includes base salary, superannuation, annual leave loading and maximum benefit of salary packaging).
