Here is a pretty random selection of words for useful things (all nouns) classified by the situation in which you might use them. The indefinite article and plural are usually given as well.

Pumpkin (of any variety) is the only vegetable I haven't been able to find in Odense grocery shops, not even at the Saturday open air market. It may come back in season.
