Statistical Job
Announcements. An archive of jobs advertised in ANZStat, most Australian
newspapers and the commercial services described below. Comes as close as can be done to a
complete archive of all statistics jobs advertised in Australia. Gordon Smyth, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research.
Australian Bureau of Statistics. Almost always has jobs available for those with statistical qualifications, especially those in economics and surveys.
bojob (Better Online Jobs). A free job-listing service
which lists a few statistics jobs.
Careerjet. An employment
search engine for Australia. Doesn't actually host ads itself but provides a
search interface to a large collection of other sites.
CareerOne. Search through today's lineage
employment classifieds of News Limited's newspapers throughout Australia. Type
"statistics" in the search box and click "search" to find statistical
jobs in all classifications in all states. There is also an email notification service.
The Directory. Job announcements
in Australian universities and scientific institutions.
GradLink. A job listing service for
graduates developed by the Graduate Careers Council of Australia with funding from
Australian universities. Search for jobs for econometricians, mathematical statisticians
or statisticians. Doesn't actually carry a lot of jobs, but you might be lucky.
mycareer.com.au. Includes job listings from the
Melbourne Age, the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian Financial Review and other
Fairfax newspapers as well as other jobs. Select "Advanced Search", then type
the keywords "statist* biostat* stochastic" in the keyword search panel at the
left of the screen. Or use the more detailed search to restrict jobs to a state or region
of your choice.
Monster.com.au. Another extensive listing
of Australian jobs. Use a keyword search for "statistics". There is also an
email notification service (Job Search Agent).
SEEK. Another Australian jobs classified website
launched in March 1998. Regularly carries statistics jobs.
New Zealand
Statistics New Zealand. Often
has jobs available for statistics graduates and statistical subject matter
experts
Kiwi Careers. This is a complete
