Description

Cairns (1988) analysed the relation between population and foraging area for seabird colonies. The following table presents their data for 22 black-legged kittiwake (a northern gull) colonies of Scotland's Shetland and Orkney Islands. Area is km2 and Population is the number of breeding pairs.
