Transport
- Rejseplanen. Will plan your trip between any
two addresses in Denmark, including bus and train connections and walking time. In Danish.
- HT. Information, timetables and travel planning from the
Danish bus system Hovedstadsområdets Trafikselskab.
- DSB. Information, timetables and travel planning
from the Danish train system.
- Copenhagen Airport. Denmark's main airport. In Kastrup
a couple of train stops southeast from Copenhagen.
- Billund Airport. An excellent small airport
in central Jutland close to Legoland. Often more convenient than Copenhagen for flights
between Jutland or Funen to Europe. Complete flight schedules.
- Danish Hotels. A directory of accommodation in
Denmark, and especially Copenhagen, maintained by the Association of the Hotel, Restaurant
and Tourism Industry in Denmark. I have used this successfully. Recommended.
Counties, Museums, Tourist Guides
- Odense Kommune. Odense
municipality in Central Fyn. Links to museums, libraries and many other services.
- Studieskolen. Anyone who lives in Fyn for 3
months or more can attend Danish language courses at the Studieskolen free of charge.
- Faaborg Kommune. South of Fyn.
- Egeskov Slot. Castle near the middle of Fyn. The
best preserved Renaissance moat castle in Europe.
- Valdemars Slot. Castle in Tåsinge near the
southern tip of Fyn.
- Aalborg Kommune. Aalborg
municipality.
- århus Kommune. Aarhus municipality.
- Ribe. Small city in west Jutland. The name of
Ribe appears in historical records before that of any other existing Danish city.
- Museums in Vejle County.
Includes the city of Kolding in East Jutland.
- Museet på Koldinghus. Large museum set in
castle in Kolding, Jutland. The restoration of the castle, completed in the 1980's, is
marvellous for its sensitivity to the original building.

- Kulternet. Includes a culture guide, links to

- Kultunaut. Danish cultural calendar. Includes
theatre but not film.
- EON Film. Danish film site, including current
program for every cinema in the country. Recommended.

- Cirkus Arena. Largest Danish circus. A Danish friend
said "Det var alle tiders!" (It was out of this world!)

5 day weather forecasts in English.
- KMS. Maps and geographical information from the Danish
department of surveys, Kort & Matrikelstyrelsen.
- Krak. Telephone numbers, addresses and

- Danish Windmill Corporation. Non-profit
organization in Iowa, USA, which sells Danish gifts and books.
- Scandinavian design.com. Based in
Malmö, Sweden. Includes brief biographics of designers.
- Danish Design and Crafts. Danish art,
crafts and design, including designers, calender, reading, conference, links, education,
organisations, funds etc. Project supported by the Design Foundation - Danish Ministry of
Cultural Affairs. Henrik Darlie.
- Scandinavian Design. A
directory of links by Russell Stoll, New York.
- Dansk Møbel Kunst. Famous shop of second hand Danish
furniture. Specializes in classic chairs by Danish designers such as Hans Wegner, Finn
Juhl, Arne Jacobsen etc. Online catalogue. Prices are horrific, but are nevertheless only
about half new prices. Situated in Copenhagen's old city.
- Association of Danish Furniture Industries.
Includes links to Danish furniture manufacturers and exporters.
- Club 8. Manufacturer and
distributor based in south west Jutland of modular furniture. Offices
world-wide, even in Brisbane Australia. Features a downloadable program
which allows you to design your own furniture layout.
- Louis Poulsen. Manufacturer of many classic
lamps designed by Poul Henningsen and others. Online catalogue.
Folk Music, Dance, Literature
- Danish Songs. A collection of 491
old Danish songs, with Danish text and the tune recorded as a mid file for each song.

essays in English and Danish. Sune Lilbæk and Frits Lilbæk.
- Danish Folk Music. A large well organized site.
- Fona. One of many online sites where one
can order Danish music or videos. Has secure credit card facilities and will
mail internationally. I have used this site successfully.
- Det Kongelige Bibliotek (the Royal
Library). Includes many online resource, for example the full text of every
Hans Christian Andersen story.
