LECTURER IN STATISTICS (Fixed Term)
School of Mathematical Sciences

The Statistics Discipline offers an undergraduate program in Statistics to honours
level and a range of postgraduate coursework.  It maintains an active research
environment and has several postgraduate research students working in a variety of
areas.   

The successful applicant will contribute to teaching at all levels and to the
research performance of the School.  Present research interests are listed at
http://www.maths.adelaide.edu.au/applied/research/reports/, and include
biostatistics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, variance components modelling and
application of statistics in engineering.  Applications from all areas of statistics
are strongly encouraged. 

You should have: 

a Ph D in Statistics or equivalent 
a record of research in any area of statistics 
a commitment to excellence in teaching  
Salary: (Level B) $58,703-$69,711 per annum. 
This fixed-term position is available from 1 January 2006 for a period of 12 months.
