This is the world's largest dairy innovation and development facility, located in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

We wish to recruit a research statistician into the analytical development team to support research initiatives in analytical chemistry and microbiology methodology as well as development of innovative statistical solutions.

A strong background in applied statistics in a research and development environment and expertise in experimental design are essential. Experience in statistical consulting and teaching of basic statistics to non-statisticians, as well as chemometrics, statistical sampling plans and statistical methods in sensory research would be an advantage. Relevant industrial experience would be useful.

The role will require the ability to support research and development capabilities across Fonterra. For this position leadership potential is required along with the ability to genuinely engage into a team environment. Computer skills, the ability to work independently and effectively communicate with a wide range of scientists is essential.
