We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed individual to join the Biostatistics Unit to work with two major centres of clinical research: a) the Alfred Hospital and b) the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC). Roles with both centres involve a senior level of responsibility for the design and analysis of clinical research using modern advanced statistical methodology and consultation with clinical researchers. This position will suit a person with a postgraduate degree in biostatistics (preferably PhD), extensive experience working as a statistical consultant, a substantial track record of research publications arising from methodological development and analysis of health-related data, and exceptional statistical computing and communication skills. Principal duties include: a) provision of statistical consulting for a wide range and high volume of researchers at the Alfred Hospital, and b) sophisticated analyses related to the ANZICS-Adult Patient Database which contains detailed information related to ICU admissions in Australia and New Zealand. Salary: $100,034 ~ $110,203 pa pro rata (Level D) plus superannuation
