Reporting to the Senior Biostatistician MERU, you will be primarily responsible for providing statistical advice regarding the design of research and evaluation projects relating to the prevention of cancer in the community including mass media campaigns. You will also undertake statistical analysis of prevention projects and will co-author peer reviewed publications, monographs and conference presentations. You will work collaboratively with specialist staff across the Cancer Institute NSW regarding analyses and evaluation of data from diverse sources and contribute to the ongoing professional development of Trainee Biostatisticians.

The successful candidate will have appropriate tertiary qualifications in statistics, biostatistics, market research, health information, epidemiology, public health or in a related discipline, or demonstrated relevant equivalent industry experience and training.

You will also need to demonstrate a high level proficiency in SAS, or similar programming including SPSS, and Stata, and have high level knowledge and experience of statistical techniques including analysis of survey data.
