Applications are invited for a 3-year PhD scholarship in Statistics
at Massey University. This will provide an
annual emolument of NZ$22,000, plus payment of fees for three years.
The topic will be the estimation of time-varying risk from volcanic eruptions.
Applicants should have a Masters or good (4 year) Honours degree in
statistics, with some knowledge of stochastic processes and
statistical computing. No background in volcanology is required,
although it would be an advantage. See
