Senior Research Officer/Epidemiologist

The role will involve providing advice and leadership on quantitative and qualitative research activities to support the Research and Development Program including developing new methods to monitor the best use of medicines and assisting NPS Program teams to identify program direction and test new strategies and approaches to improve the use of medicines.
If you have relevant postgraduate qualifications (epidemiology, public health, psychology, or biostatistics) with extensive quantitative and qualitative research experience and:
Strong analytical skills including familiarity with SAS or SPSS software
An understanding of health data sources and medicines issues
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in research and protocol development
Ability to independently solve problems and manage personal work priorities
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication
Strong organisational and project management skills
Demonstrated strong negotiation skills and ability to build and manage professional working relationships within research settings
A PhD in a relevant field, an understanding of data mining and time series analysis techniques, proven publication record and previous experience in preparing competitive funding applications would be highly regarded.

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 plus super negotiable.
