BSES Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Biometrician to work within its Research and Development group. The Biometrician would provide statistical support across all areas of the company and contribute to high-quality research and development for the Australian sugar industry.

To be considered for the Biometrician position, you will have:

an honours degree in statistics or closely related discipline;

an ability to work as a statistical consultant and/or analyse complex data sets;

experience in using specialist statistical packages such as R or SAS;

an understanding of experimental design of field trials;

experience in making presentations to large groups of people from diverse backgrounds.

BSES Limited Head Office is based at Indooroopilly and there are experiment stations and centres from Mossman in far north Queensland to northern New South Wales. There will be some travel involved to consult with regional staff for the successful applicant.
