An opportunity currently exists for a forward-thinking professional to measure risk opportunities for our Direct Insurance Products. You will join a highly-qualified team of analysts who use sophisticated statistical modelling tools and leading edge statistical modelling and analytical techniques to develop pricing strategies that will impact on the company's profitability.
You will also be required to develop new business and renewal models, conduct elasticity modelling and apply optimisation techniques. You will formulate budget forecasts and strategies to manage risk and optimise returns. You will also extract and prepare data (SAS) for Pure Research Project purposes, analyse and then present your findings in reports and recommendations to senior management. Use of GIS mapping (Mapinfo) functionality for spatial analysis projects would also be desirable but not essential.
This role would suit individuals currently working in a research environment, preferably in the insurance industry or recent university graduates. All applicants must attach a copy of their academic transcript together with CV.
Suitable applicants will have:
Tertiary qualifications with a Statistics degree focus
Some statistical analysis, research or modelling experience
High university course results (above a credit average)
Desirable to have:
Some GIS (Geographic Information Systems) knowledge
