Vacancy - Research & Development

SENIOR BIOSTATISTICIAN
Biostatistics

CSL Level 6
Full Time

The pharmaceutical industry is one of the fastest moving industries in the world and here in CSL’s Head Office you’ll be exposed to some of our most exciting projects. The research we undertake is critical in developing leading medicines that contribute to the health of people right around the world.

This role offers a great chance to demonstrate your leadership skills and take the next step in your career. Reporting to the Head of the Biostatistics Department, you’ll be directly responsible for the integrity, adequacy and accuracy of the statistical aspects of clinical trials and other related statistical work. You’ll work to achieve objectives, minimise risk and cost, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

Acting as a source of knowledge, you’ll provide sound strategic, statistical and scientific input on program objectives, experimental design and data analysis, and review and co-author professional publications and presentations. You’ll also provide strategic input into the clinical development plan and be called upon to represent CSL Biostatistics at regulatory authority meetings and elsewhere. An integral member of the team, you’ll provide mentoring to junior statisticians within the department.

Your post-graduate qualifications in a relevant Biostatistics or Statistics field will be complemented by your bio-pharmaceutical experience as a statistician in a clinical trial setting. Your clinical experience, from early development through to registration, has given you an advanced understanding of statistical principles, regulatory requirements and medical terminology. Additionally, you have great interpersonal skills, good written and oral communication skills and an eye for detail.

Located at CSL’s Parkville site, this full-time role may involve occasional local, interstate and international travel.
