Population Perinatal Health Research, Kolling Institute of Medical Research, University of Sydney

Stipend of $30,000 per annum for 3 years

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available to assess a range of serum biomarkers for predicting adverse pregnancy outcomes such as fetal growth restriction, stillbirth and preeclampsia. Advanced statistical methods will be used to assess combinations of biomarkers and antenatally identifiable risk factors and determine which threshold values provide the best (most discriminating) prediction of adverse outcomes. The project would suit an individual with a background in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, biomedical sciences or medicine. Applicants should have experience in data manipulation and advanced statistical techniques such as multivariable logistic regression, and the ability to analyse large data sets. Candidates should also have an understanding of, or interest in, biomedical scientific methods.
