    Our client is searching for an enthusiastic, motivated person who loves number crunching and has a good understanding of applied statistics.
    This position will see you responsible for developing statistical theory for research applications, performing statistical simulations, forecasting and modelling as well as theoretical statistics support.

    Responsibilities include:
  • Providing statistical consulting and performing data analysis
  • Undertaking complex market segmentation and conjoint/ choice modelling analyses.
  • Analysing quantitative data in the form of simple statistics and more advanced analysis of survey data such as regression, factor and cluster analyses
  • Displaying statistical results graphically and in tabular form for use in PowerPoint presentations
  • Interpreting and writing up results, including the identification of insights relating to clients’ needs

    Experience/skills required for this position:
  • Ideally 1-2 years quantitative research experience, working within a Market Research agency and/or within government, the ABS or a university environment.
  • High level skills in applied statistics in areas such as sampling, weighting and statistical analysis of data
  • A degree in a science related field with a strong statistics component
  • High level experience with some statistical software packages, preferably SPSS
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
