Statistician/Research Analyst

The position offers challenging and interesting opportunities for a suitably qualified individual to help apply and advance the quantitative science underlying the generation and translation of public health evidence.

The Public Health Group is a newly formed interdisciplinary team of epidemiologists, clinicians, and nutritionists who work in early childhood development, nutrition, primary care, use of linked administrative data, evidence translation, health system improvement, indigenous health, population health monitoring and health inequalities.

We are seeking an individual with strong methodological and quantitative skills ideally with a background in statistics, methodology, study design or evaluation. We encourage applications from entry level scientists to senior scientists who have a desire to apply their expertise to data analysis, risk prediction modelling, and design and analysis of intervention trials.

Applicants with a background in biostatistics, econometrics, applied statistics or another quantitative science dealing with statistical manipulation and interpretation of data would be ideal. A substantive interest in public health is desirable.

Level of appointment is open and will depend on experience and qualifications. Salary in the range of $70,332 - $133,632 plus benefits.
