The Institute is seeking a highly motivated professional with outstanding leadership and analytical capabilities to join its Senior Executive Team, heading up the Health Group. The Health Group develops and analyses national data to support monitoring and reporting on the health of Australians. This includes monitoring determinants of health, health status and diseases, and related quality of life. Inspired by a set of strong values the Institute has a high public profile and is widely respected for its authoritative and objective information and analysis.

As the successful applicant you will provide leadership and professional expertise to steer the Group in areas of strategic relevance to the Institute’s position as a health and welfare information leader. In this role you will also be expected to promote business development for the Institute and manage the completion of work to the Institute’s high standard, including the biennial production of the comprehensive Australia’s health series. This is an exciting opportunity for a person with conceptual and technical skills, commitment to informed debate on health issues and a record of achievement in management and information roles. In addition to these qualities you will possess the desire to succeed and be challenged.
